On Display in The Art Bar @ Webster Hall:strong> ...JEFFREY BURKE.. Urban Rhythms
Opening Night Party: Monday, February 7th..... Solo Show runs from:Sunday January 30th – Sunday February 20th.In his first solo show, Burke captures the oscillating rhythms of urban life drawing from themes such as pop culture, fashion, music and nightlife. His multi-layered glass collages, featuring the sharp outlines of youthful subjects showcase contemporary trends with unapologetic boldness and wit. These small, yet commanding works exhibit his propensity towards stylistic design and street art. In conjuncture, Burke's expressionistic abstract paintings convey the visceral movement and organic shapes of an ever-changing city landscape. From playful to painful, Burke's artwork offers a slice-of-life from his dynamic metropolitan habitat.strong>Presented by The QAS at Webster Hall. Curated by Jenny Mushkin
